We Are Ready!!!!

The 2023 camping season is upon us at Mecca Camp Resort and we have spent the winter working hard to get the grounds ready for another incredible season. We have all sorts of excitement planned for this summer and can't wait for you and your families to experience them with us. Whether you're here to ride the Tail of the Dragon, fish on the Tellico or Hiawasee Rivers, or just relax for an overdue vacation, Mecca Camp Resort has you covered.

This off-season we worked hard to spruce things up for our second full season. We got some long-overdue trees added to the sites, brought in fresh wood chips for the playground, leveled out some of the roads and walkways and re-seeded some sites that needed a little love.

Additionally, we had a major announcement here in Apri with the Grand Opening of The Porch Event & Music Venue and we have added a Dog Park for our guests to exercise their pets without being leashed. We are very excited for these new additions to the park.

The Porch

A few weeks ago, we were ecstatic to host the grand opening of The Porch @ Mecca Camp Resort. Open for both public and private events, The Porch can be rented for hosting birthday parties, anniversaries and general celebrations. Click Below to see our Rental Pricing rates. And as usual, all military and first responders are more than welcome with a 10% discount to Mecca Camp Resort and rentals of The Porch.

The venue is also open every other weekend as a destination for live music in Monroe County and East Tennessee. Hosting national and local acts with food trucks, we are looking for The Porch to be another reason to enjoy this wonderful community we call home. Whether it's our mountains or our friendly people, The Porch will always have a rocking chair, a cold drink, some good music and warm fire rolling for all our friends and neighbors.

Summer of Activities Planned

In addition to all of the fun we have planned at The Porch, our campground activities will kick off on Memorial Day weekend with Pancake Saturdays, outdoor movie night, bingo on the patio, campfire music, story tellers, swimming games, and free snow cones by the pool every Saturday. Last season, we truly enjoyed the families that joined us each weekend here at Mecca Camp Resort. Everyone who stays with us becomes part of our family!

Campground Hosts (Tait and Tanya)

A while ago, we had this crazy family come stay with us as they couldn't get away from Washington State quick enough. Seeking solitude after retirement from a career in law enforcement and the military, Tait and Tanya joined our family here in Tellico Plains and eventually became Camp Hosts for us this off season. We hope they will stay with us longer than they probably want to, as we know they are anxious to get moved onto their land, but we are blessed to have them while we can and can't thank them enough for all of their support thus far.
