POOL... It's Official!

I know it's been a while since we have posted an update about the campground, so I thought it would be appropriate to do so now. Long story short, we have been pressing forward despite supply chain issues and trying to find a commercial pool company who will take on our project.

Big news below about our pool!

Pool Update

We are happy to announce that we have a contract with Platinum Pools who has built the pools for Margaritaville and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. We are so thankful that given their busy schedule, they are able to begin our project in late August / early September, SO... for all you locals, stay tuned for more information soon.

We have learned many lessons through this process and couldn't be happier that Platinum Pools was willing to take us on as a project. Platinum Pools have probably built many of the commercial pools you have enjoyed in throughout East Tennessee! Below is a picture of the tile and colors we picked out for the pool.

Glamping

Our Glamping Tents have been a great success so far and we look forward to what's in store for the future. Feedback has been fantastic and everyone seems to have enjoyed the Glamping experience thus far at Mecca Camp Resort. We have three Glamping Tents with one that sleeps 5 people. It has a queen bed, a full bed w/bunk, and a mini kitchenette with a table and chairs. We are looking to purchase another large tent this off-season.

We are beginning to see reservations book up for the fall, so please make your reservation soon!

Camp Store

Our Camp Store is open and available to the public as well. We offer Cold Beer, drinks, firewood bundles and ice. We also offer the normal camp store items that you might need! Please stop by when you get a chance. Our neighbors are always welcome!

Electrical Update

Electrical has been a big supply chain issue over the past few months, but luckily we had some equipment arrive last week, and thanks to our friends at the Sweetwater KOA we were able to get our hands on some power pedestals. As such, we now have power to the camp pads this week, which is awesome! We have been waiting 13 weeks for power equipment to arrive, but progress has now been made and we look forward to being able to host campers and provide full 50/30/20 power services. We expect more power pedestals to arrive this week.

WE HAVE A FUNCTIONING HONEY POT!

Dealing with septic issues has been a long pole in the tent for us thus far, but alas, we have made progress; We now have a functioning honey pot, which we will be using to provide septic as a service for our guests. Upon request, we will pull our honey pot out to all of our guests to clean out their black and grey tanks upon request.

Bathhouse

Our bathhouse has been a huge hit so far! People seem to really enjoy the look of the bathhouse as well as the overall decor. It has been the biggest hitter so far and guests have commented about how our bathhouse is so clean and accessible. We look forward to continued positive feedback and hope you will stay with us soon to give us additional feedback.

Closing

While things have been moving forward, albeit some slower than others, progress is being made every day and we are extremely happy with where we are at so far. Look for more announcements in the coming weeks regarding the pool and full hookup to our campers.

From our family to yours, we look forward to you visiting us someday soon at Mecca Camp Resort. Please stay healthy and be good to one another!
